[V8] V8 Crankshaft bolt pattern

It's been done, Dave:

(for those of you playing along at home, that happens to be a DTM race
motor!) 

I would put one into a rabbit GTi...  Or better yet, mid-engine it (is
that a verb?) into a VW caddy pickup truck.

I've got an A1 Scirocco sitting around with an empty engine bay.  If I
wasn't worried about keeping the rear planted, or ripping it apart at
the seams under a greenlight rally launch, I might have a home for my PT
when it goes...

Which is why I am actually very interested to know the tranny bolt
pattern!!
