MUCH easier with bumper and oil cooler and AC pulled off/aside. That also makes it easier (in my case) to hose off all the crap that collected from a gasket leak, which was clogging and binding my throttle as well. And its a good time to replace o-rings on the distributors too.
I am finishing the change now (or rather my VERY VERY VERY VERY good friend Alan is finishing it for me to clear his garage bay) and I did all the belts, tensioners, bearings, waterpump, pulleys, valve cover gaskets, distributor o-rings, plugs, etc... so that the rest of the headaches (steering rack) can wait for summer. About $900 worth of parts and a few nights of labor, if you have the right tools (THANKS ALAN) and someone that has done 3-4 of them already to guide you (THANKS ALAN) into avoiding mistakes.
