[V8] raising idle speed?

This will be harder than you think...
If you add extra air, the ECU will compensate by closing down the idle air
valve. You would have to add enough bypass air to totally take the IAC system
out of the picture. The only reasonable way to increase idle speed is to
re-program the ECU - and while that is possible, it would be expensive.
(or just scrap the whole fuel injection system and duct tape on a Holly double
pumper :-)
