[V8] Window Gremlins

Hey Dave, et al --
A friend's 100cs exhibited this prolem and IIRC it was a bad connection at the microswitch. Related, it sounds like this microswitch is what may be bad/unhooked/missing on my driver door. The all-close feature operated by door key lock hasn't worked since the body shop "reassembled" my doors. I've since r&r'd the guts for each door, but didn't know about the feature malfunction until all was back together again. This feature on the passenger side still works, but hate to pull that side back apart again as well to witness correct hookup/operation -- can anyone offer a description of what this thing looks like or where it may be disconnected?
Also (and unrelated), would anyone happen to have a new a/c accumulator/receiver/dryer thing they want to unload?

Subject: Re: [V8] Window Gremlins
Sounds like the control unit may be toast - but in addition to the other
suggestions, maybe it is the microswitch located on the door key lock inside the
door?
I only offer this because it is a mechanical part that could break in some wierd
way. Control unit failures seem pretty rare - but they do happen. AFAIK, this is
a V8 only part - so it will be expensive and hard to get - making a thourough
debugging worth your time.
To debug - as always - you have to "think like a computer". Any control unit
generates outputs based on inputs. If the inputs are all correct, and the output
is wrong then the control unit is bad - assuming all wireing is as it should be.
If you do end up diagnosing the control unit, carefully remove the cover and
inspect the relays inside. You may get lucky and find a mechanical problem
inside (like a broken spring or pitted contact) that is easily fixed.
