[V8] V8 therapy (long)

You won't catch me saying that...

my V8 is my daily driver, and there have not been many days where I had to leave
it at home. I do have an old beater truck so having a vehicle down for
maintainence is no big deal.
And I also much prefer to work on the V8 over the Explorer (98 and the family
car) or Ranger (83, ugly and smelly but always reliable). Neither of these rigs
was made to be serviced.
