... when I spoke to Steve Nechodom he indicated that there were some
special tools he had, and that failure to use them might end up not
solving the oil usage problem ... but he gave no details. On my car #2,
the PO had a valve job done by his mechanic and that did not fully cure
the oil burning problem. Keep in mind though, that I resolved *most* of
the smoking by replacing the FPR after purchasing the car. Every once
in a while it would give the dreaded smoke screen. Since putting a new
engine in the car the smoking has been resolved.
... speaking of parts ... if there is anyone who has a core PT engine
around I could use the throttle linkage and metal coolant lines that run
above the valley.
