Last night, diligent Carter was doing my weekly
thorough cleaning of the audiuberwagen, including an
engine detail. So on the right bank of the motor
(left if you're standing looking at the motor from the
front) there are several wires and a sample tube -
burnt orange in color - that run between the head and
the timing belt cover. I broke the orange sample
tube, which runs to a canister looking device off the
right bank and under to under the intake.
Lately, the car has been hesitating when cold. It
starts fine, but when I put it into gear, it
momentarily drops way down in idle - as if to stall -
then comes back and runs completely fine. This
morning, it was more pronouced. I presumed that the
tube was so sort of air meter tube for emissions, but
is it some sort of cold start vacuum valve do-hicky?
Other thoughts on the cold start running condition?
Oh, and my front left suspension is now creaking.
Very odd. Sounds like an old bed. I wish I was
getting as much action as my car sounds like its
getting, but that's another matter entirely....
