I'll confirm, being a vendor by trade, that as long as its kept with the same manufacturer, I don't much care either way.  Only thing is the more variety of applications you include, the more branching out you have to do to get the GB "known", and thus the longer it takes.

For that reason, something along the lines of an Audi only GB would be the best situation I think

DaveC -
I'm actually in the middle of a group buy for fellow BMW E34/M5 owners on some accessories. No question that it is a bit of work and you tend to get a lot of initial interest and then when it's time to 'pony up' and commit, it is a whole different story.

As far as whether it needs to be a single part or different parts, I can offer this - my experience is that vendors are more concerned about volume of orders as opposed to ordering the same set of springs. This is especially true when you are talking about the same manufacturer, as opposed to a group buy for H&R and Eibach, because they are just taking the order and going directly to them anyway. H&R will be happy whether the vendor is buying 6 sets for a V8Q or 3 sets for a V8Q and 3 for any other audi. That was my experience, at least. The real issue is how many different parts you want to be responsible for ordering - certainly is simpler with only one, but to get more involved you may want to consider opening it up (a little). Just my .02.

All that being said - I'd need to have some ballpark prices, but I'd be interested.
