[V8] How can you increase radio reception on a 90 V8?

My radio reception stinks too- poor AM reception and marginal FM.  I have a 
now non-functioning original power antenna (opposite of the Cell antenna 
mount)that is on the drivers side quarter panel.  People have told me that 
the 90V8s didnt come with a power antenna.  Mine must have been a dealer 
ad-on- since there is rust around the power antenna mount- none on the cell 
antenna mount.  Does anyone have a source for good replacement antennas?
