I don't have any experience with this one and wIll let others chime in.

I have had my car into the 120s (far right side of the gauge and never
seen a temp light) Sounds like one of the sensors. Normal operating
temp varies with these beasts. The tstat should be 87, but when its
hot the guage may reach vertical at 100 or a little over IME. When its
cold, it may not go much past the first mark (about 1/4 the way up).
We seem to be prone to clogged radiators with these older cars
(replacement is well documented in the archives). As for the green
stuff, I would replace it ASAP; most green stuff isn't friendly with
aluminum. Get the blue stuff from a dealer.

If you are lucky, its the switch and not the regulator that has failed.
Have you tried both the rear door switch ( child lock off) and the
drivers door switch? You may also try switching the plug and play
switches with a known good one temporarily. Not well described, but I
think you get the idea. The inside drivers door handle (arm rest) can
be removed with a hex key (6mm?) The bolts do not come out all the way
as they only operate a compression mechanism. Back them out about ten
turns and then rotate the arm rest upwards. It takes some conviction.

More info required on this one.
