[V8] pipe under back seat

I'd guess it's the vent tube for the battery.  Your battery
should have a little nipple up near the top to which the
tube attaches.  Some batteries don't come with the vent hole,
which may be OK if the battery lives under the hood, but may
be a problem for a battery under the seat.  Newer Gel Cell
batteries don't have and don't need a vent.
