[V8] Oil Change woes!!! Filter stuck!

Since you have the filter semi apart, see if you can see the th unuon
through the filter. Should be some type of femal torx or alen head thats
fits in there. get on the thing with a 1/2 breaker bar and you should be all
set. There is one gotcha with this however. It is unknow to me if the unon is
revers thread or not. I would order one first and note the threads on the
new one

Allan says:
"Don't despair, just replace the union (077115721b) for $11.85 list and
be on your way :)"

Not sure the availability, or how easy that bugger is to replace, but
it's nice to know it is possible (in theory).

Cheers,

- Jeremy

So if I bust off the mating end that connects to the threads on the
filter by exerting way to much PSI then I can replace that? And where
can I get that part its good information to have before I go charging in
with brute force!

Thanks for the sale on the vehicle! its awesome otherwise brand new
brakes yada yada ;-)

I am not about to try to bugger up the block itself that would be a
nightmare I am being careful with that part.

threaded (actually forgot to remove the old gasket and caused a huge oil
leak all over my driveway), I found the part number for the threaded
stud that comes out of the block. If you bugger that up, at least it is
replaceable. Mess up the mating surface on the block and it won't be
pretty :-(
