Looks like one of those "made in Taiwan" el cheapo deluxe ratchets to me.
 A Mac, Matco or Snapon can take a 3 foot cheater bar with no problems,
BTDT (but I'll deny it if I have to get a warranty repair done someday.) 
Craftsman ratchets can't take it either, they don't snap like the
el-cheapo Chinese ratchets, but instead strip the ratchet teeth in the
mechanism.  Of course a breaker bar or air gun is the right tool for
stubborn fasteners, but they don't physically fit when and where you need
them 90% of the time, especially in our Teutonic beasts.
