[V8] While I was away.....

Has been a while since I posted on the list, have been on duty in Iraq. Was wounded in March and have spent some time in the hospital in Germnay (yep, saw some very cool Audi's)and here in the states. I have one more surgey on the 12th and if all goes well I will be back in action by June. Since I am on con leave what a good 
time to fire up the good old V8. Turned right over and cought right up, 
ran smooth! I did an oil and filter (the oil always shows clear on the stick)
Took it out for a long run. Got 24 MPG measured, avg 75MPG and hit the 
80,000 mile mark.
Problems noted, 2 of the window switches stopped working, easy fix.
The pass side sun visor mirror cover broke off, anyone
have a tavertine extra?
Now here is the problem for "team door handle" the DS lock has succumb
to its fatal demise. I knew something was up, the alarm would go
on sometimes when I unlocked it. Now the key spins around.
Who has the BTDT on this one?
Also anyone have any input on adjustment of the downshift cable?
