I wouldn't worry about that engine.  IMHO it is the strongest 
drivetrain that has been assembled;  it has proven itself at well over 
500 hp on rally circuits.  I, for one, am jealous of the Black Mariah.  
That 20v Avant  is a great sleeper.  The door locks were a PITA, but 
what a minor complaint.  If you ask me, the 91 20v Avant is second only 
to the 95.5 S6 Avant.  It is one of the greats from Audi IMHO.  And 
rare too.  Try not to sell it, lie down for a moment instead.
