Some of the best things in life are home-made:

 

Rear caliper retractor-1-3/16 socket w/ ears ground to fit piston, beats the
hell out of the "cube"

 

Strut tool-22 mm deep socket, carved out to fit allen wrench

 

Radio removal tools-coat hanger wire w/ grooves ground near ends

 

Sunroof tool-coat hanger wire w/ lots of tape to prevent scratches

 

For off-the-shelf instant gratification, those cheap dental picks from India
are pretty useful on o-rings.
