[V8] O2 sensor R&R Problem

I broke mine off last year and was able to get the wire back up from rear of the engine and splice the new O2 sensor to it.  There is not much room to work and I did not put a new connector on it.  I just spliced it direct.  It's been over a year and everything works fine.  
 
You do have to take off the air cleaner assembly and a few other things back there (brackets and ect.)

Someone has posted here before about moving that connector to the back of
the engine for easier access.  So it must be possible to get it out of
where it is so you could replace the broken connector or splice the wires.
