[V8] O2 sensor R&R Problem

The black wire is the signal wire - it is not a simple ground. You must get this
fixed or the motor will not run properly. It will run - in fact it may seem to
run just fine but emission tests will fail and power will most likely be reduced
as the ECU reverts to failsafe mode.

If I was me, I would try to get this back to original condition. Either order a
new connector if possible or get one from the junk yard. Audi/VW uses this type
of connector on most if not all cars. You should be able to find something that
works quite easily.
