[V8] 200 20v Avant FS?

Pretty much ruled that out.  

The issue, if there is one, would be the manual gear box.  The automatic is
something that can be driven by my wife, and that is really a factor.  I
don't much care about the automatic versus stick discussions.  If I never
use a clutch again it won't distress me very much as I have shifted enough
gears through my life to satisfy any gear junkie.

But having a car that cannot be driven by my wife offers potentially serious
consequences due to where we live and the nature of things that we do on a
daily basis.

Roger,

While you're at it, I'd check out an UrS6 wagon.  A very nice cross between 
the V8 and the 200, with good utility, gas mileage and performance to boot. 
Aren't that much different from V8 owners in their praise of their cars. 
Except that they're performance junkies in the extreme  :-)

Welllllllllllllllll, I am thinking of selling my Avant to make room for
another V8.  Just thinking now, mind you.

For those of you who have been on my special psychiatric counseling team
since I sold my V8, and those of your who have not, my Avant is mechanically
in near outstanding condition.  Cosmetically, it is only fair at best, but
it is pretty much intact as they go.

What's neat about it is that at some time the ECU was rebuilt, I think, or
perhaps the turbo springs were changed, and thus, the car will pull 2.5
bar...the thing goes really good, and as I said, mechanically, the car is
done.

Just thinking.....
