>From what I have been told, 2.5 bar is outside of the normal programming of
the digital readout on the dash. So, I can only assume that the ECU was
replaced with something else.
Someone else told me that while the car could well pull 2.5 bar, it was
unlikely that it could do so in fifth gear or for long in fourth due to
engine breathing restrictions. I think that might be correct, although I
have seen 2.4 bar in fourth before running out of road. Not wishing to
drive with my license extended out the drivers window in the wind, I haven't
embarked on exhaustive testing to see what the final limits are.
Enough to say that the car feels much like my 4.2 litre V8. I drive about
twenty-five miles most mornings. The trip is mostly two lane Route One in
light traffic, and the route hilly. I have forgotten fifth many times and
have been amazed at how "elastic" the car feels when driving along in
fourth. Only my concern for fuel mileage reminds me to change up.

If the box is identified as an IA modification, I'd think that would make
it more valuable.
