The O2 sensor doesn't like something (silcone?) which is
used in some anti-seize compounds. If the mechanic used
too much anti-seize on the sensor threads, it could
prematurely kill the sensor.
You might also check the wiring/connections. The sensor
may still be good but corroded wiring or connections
could cause bad readings.
