It's a bit of a disservice IMHO to have people pulling off bumpers,
radiator supports etc. when it's not necessary at all.  Snapping a bumper
bolt or two or splitting an oil cooler line can turn into a major
headache.  Maybe just an addendum to the KB procedure showing all the
unnecessary component removals as "optional" or "not necessary but makes
it easier because...." .

The procedure in the manual is the easiest, as stated on these threads in
the past, and most listers don't see the need or risk of removing all
these additional major components.  Let sleeping dogs lie or you might
get bit.
