If the front "torque stop" is broken (happened to me too) then the
cause is bad motor mounts.
Mine disintegrated. The new ones have a heat shield on them.
Do NOT replace the torque stop until you replace the motor mounts or
it will just break again.
This job requires removing or at least lowering the sub-frame - so
you will have to support the motor.
My manual says in big letters not to support from the oil pan. The
prefered tool would be the engine support callout for changing a clutch.
I made one (of course! has anyone noticed I like 2X4s and duct tape?)
but with a little cleverness you can probably brace from under the
motor without bearing on the oil pan.
On the pulley alignment, the fan pulley mounts on the timing cover -
which has some standoffs behind it. maybe someone put these on wrong?
I seem to recall there were two different sizes.
There is a shim process to get the power steering pump aligned, but
you should not have to do this unless someone has messed it up before
you. Look in the manual under power steering pump for the procedure.
The alternator should just line up.
