Not direct Audi experience, but I've seen more than enough "Southern"
cars sold up here in NE that disintegrated in short order. Much of the
"south" is ocean front, flood areas, and a few islands. I'd much rather
deal with a salt belt car than a car that's been in the tropical sea
spray all year round. A Nevada or Ariz. car that was garaged is worth a
premium in my book, if you can find one.

I once bought a FL Blowvo wagon that started rusting through under the
headliner, was so bad that one automatic car wash and it would have gone
from wagon to convertible.

I recently pulled a fender from a 1984 5KS for transplant to my 5KS (mine
rotted on bottom because of the decades old terrarium I had going in the
fender). The donor car with 350K on clock was a rust belt mobile since
new, but the fender was original and looked brand new inside.

How extravagant you are, throwing away women like that. Some day they may
be scarce.
