[V8] V8 as in cult status...Lotus Exige or Saturn? HUH!

For better or worse, there were actually two incarnations of the Lotus
Elan, one produced through the 1960s, and the other in the 1990s ... I
believe you are referring to the latter vehicle and Roger the former ...


Frankly, I wouldn't turn anything with a Lotus badge away!  ... OK,
perhaps if it were an Isuzu Impulse.  I used to have the hots for an
Esprit Turbo ... in fact I was struggling to decide between the urq and
the Esprit back in '86.  Of course the Lotus Seven was a dream car for
someone who likes to feel that the center of mass is below ground level.
I grew an appreciation for the Europa ... especially the JPS variant.  I
learned about the early Elan.  Until the Elise came out I wasn't too
excited about Lotus automobiles ... but I suspect I could even get used
to a new Elan ... ;-)
