[V8] The original 5-speed 4.2 goes down the road!

Funny this on the night I get my ABH equipped 5-speed running pert near what it should. The replacement MAF got of the bogging down stuff, and unplugging the oxs (this time w/ the signal wire disconnected too... Thanks Keith) got rid of the sputtering and overly rich condition. Thing is it did the exact same thing with with different o2 sensors in there.  So who knows...

But whatever -- drove the car for the first time with it banging away with a 4.2 and golly she scoots nicely. I wouldn't call the difference night and day but it's at least dusk and day.

Well, Bob Blake picked up my Audi V8 4.2 5-speed today and drove it back to
Virginia.  It will now become part of his stable of five Audi V8's!
Driving the car for the last time made me think of it as somewhat of a time
machine.  The car is so smooth, supple and effortless that it was as if this
car just rolled off the factory floor!  And to think, if you subtract out
the cost of the 5-speed conversion and the dual XM/Sirius satellite radio
system, Bob almost got the car for free. :)

You got a good one Bob!  I bet you enjoyed your ride home!
