Yes!! The 5-speed is a whole different animal. It was a little tough getting use to talking on the phone, eating an apple, drinking my StarBucks coffee and driving in bumper to bumper traffic. But since the car tracks perfectly straight and I am pretty proficient at driving with my knee, the ride home was a blast.

It would be a tough choice if I had to decide on the 93 auto or the 93 5-speed. The auto is definately a true sport/luxury car while the 5-speed is more along the "sports" car mode.

Either way I don't plan on getting rid of either of them, so for now "I've got my cake and I'm eating it too"

Bob

Hey, Bob, how does driving the 5-speed compare to driving the '93 slusher? Is it as big a jump as going from the '90 auto to the '93?

Just wanted to thank Steve for a GREAT CAR.

This is my 6th V8 and by far the nicest. The power of the 4.2 with the 5 speed is amazing. After the 250 mile trip back home, it was only approriate to meet my wife at HOOTERS to celebrate the new purchase. I followed her home in her new 300C AWD Chrysler (330 HP) and she had a tough time pulling away from me.

I am going to make sure she doesn't pull away and bring the car down to Keith and have some exhaust work and the ECU "Chipped"

This is the 4th V8 I bought off the list and the third from PA. All 4 have been "sight unseen" and all 4 have been great. (I think I need a bigger garage)

Everyday is a V8 club meeting at my house!!!!

Thanks for the great V8 list

Well, Bob Blake picked up my Audi V8 4.2 5-speed today and drove it
back to
Virginia. It will now become part of his stable of five Audi
V8's!
Driving the car for the last time made me think of it as somewhat of a
time
machine. The car is so smooth, supple and effortless that it was as
if this
car just rolled off the factory floor! And to think, if you
subtract out
the cost of the 5-speed conversion and the dual XM/Sirius satellite
radio
system, Bob almost got the car for free. :)

You got a good one Bob! I bet you enjoyed your ride home!
