[V8] Heater cores

A while back, I installed a new brass core thinking it would be better and
stronger than the plastic. It might be in another car, but in the box there was
a warning about making sure the coolant carried no voltage, and to ground the
core or it would quickly rot out.

I ignored the warning, and a few months later I was replacing the core again.
This time I went with the plastic/aluminium one. This core was made in china
(not sure about the brass one) and while it appears to not leak (yet!), it
stinks. Be sure to wash it off with some good solvent before you install it. I
have no idea what is on mine, but it smeels like some sort of toxic chinese
industrial oil.
