[V8] 10$ to whoever can figure out this rattle in my

No tools AND (I missed that before) front suspension. Metal on metal rattle
on bumps and lesser impacts, changes in driving surface -- passenger front
suspension. Hmmm. I would have thought the tie rod end, but you can't "fix"
that without tools. Or the bushing for the sway bar shot or the ball joint
bolt loose or missing. And then there's the loose strut attachment nut for
strut insert. None of which can be fixed without tools (unless you're
Superman). Most curious now...

Frankly, not a bad guess :-)
Ah, sound initially only came with substantial bumps, then over 2 days and
~150 miles, became more and more pronouced. It was obviously from the
passenger front suspension. It sounded like loose metal rattling. It was
audible only when driving, but was not obvious upon immediate inspection.
Was not affected by braking or acceleration (that I could tell) - only bumps
and then any inperfection in the road.
I can't tell you too much more without giving it away....
One more guess?

Can we at least try to know more of what you knew? Was the sound
obviously from the front or rear? Loud or faint? Audible under any
kind of forward motion, or only in gear? Went away under braking?
Just saying... These are clues you had. Otherwise, my guess is it was
the sound of teeth of a dead gopher dangling from the tie rod banging
against the header tube.
