I'm actually a "200 guy", but usually check out the V8 forum as some of the
systems are the same. As for your broken spring, had to replace two on the
5000CS I rehabbed for my son. I had just actually gotten rid of my parts car
and metal pile, (to include one spring) and ended up having to get one spring
from Eric at VW parts. Was told this is a fairly common occurrence with these
springs! (On this particular car both fronts were broken)
