Well, you can supposedly turn the GPS locator off except when dialing  
911.  At least that's how I have my phone set up.

Plus I like the fact that our older cars don't have any ubiquitous  
little black boxes recording or every move like the newer ones do.   
The dreaded 1984 scenario will be here soon enough...
