[V8] Meant for the Autobond?

Not a chance.  The Lotus Omega (called the Carlton in the UK) had a 3.6 
litre turbocharged inline 6 with 377 hp and 419 lbs/ft of torque.  Road 
tests at the time clocked 0-60 in less than 5 seconds and a top speed of 
close to 180 mph.
