For a 1991 V8 there are 4 records:

96V084000 4/22/1996 - Vehicle Speed Control (Cruise control linkage)
97V172000 10/6/1997 - Air bags: frontal: sensor/control module
91V050000 3/27/1991 - Equipment: Mechanical: jacks
01V324000 10/3/2001 - Equipment: Electrical: Radio/Tape deck/CD ETC. (Bose recall)

The airbag recall is shown to affect 54800 vehicles ...

I know that Audi has letter codes for the recall campaigns, but I'd expect you could call a dealer and give them the NHTSA campaign number and they could look it up for you ...
