It has been a while, but I believe the last time I had mine replaced my
mechanic had built a tool that he used to turn the piston to compress it -
If I recall correctly you HAVE to turn it to compress it.

Subject: [V8] rear brakes
a friend and I are working on the V8 trying to get the piston
compressed. Am I missing something on getting this bastard to compress?
I bent the damn C-Clamp trying to compress the piston perhaps somebody
has a answer as to what to do... The bleeder valve I have messed with
that to no avail :/ Is my piston frozen or what? I know my rear brakes
work but can it seize to where it wont compress inward but will continue
to work? I am lost on what to do about this as I bent a C-Clamp
