You have to rotate the piston clockwise while compressing. Careful
application of water pump pliers will get it done, but a better way is this
tool: http://www.thetoolwarehouse.net/shop/LIS-25000.html The disks
include one with projections on the face to match the depressions in the
piston face. Turning the screw with a wrench both turns and compresses the
piston.
