I don't think so. I doubt anyone would say quite that. Maybe more
along the lines of "a new VW fox damper will outperform a worn-out V8
oem one."
Incidentally, Scott, didn't you do the mod on your MC2 200q/ 5ktq
where you added the damper, as there was a provision for one but none
fitted?
I do remember having one on my '91 200q20v (same track as the V8) -
unlike other type 44 cars...
