[V8] question about cylinder glazing

How much oil are you using George?
I got all excited a while back about putting in new rings (which seem to be
available) after another lister reported success doing that. But he was re-using
the rod bearings and I can not find a local mechanic that would do that to his
own car, let alone a customers car so I got cold feet. Someone else claimed to
have the part numbers for all the crank bearings, but the cost was quite high
and it was not clear you could even order them anyway.
Another problem with the rings (from Deves) was that they had the correct
physical size but they could not tell me if the application was in fact for my
motor.
I just decided to buy oil in bulk...
