Hmm, I don't think they checked the fpr, but they did keep the beast for the whole day after replacing the oxygen sensor, ran it around town doing various errands, and pulled the plugs again to see if it was running rich again. The plugs were still clean, no fuel dripping off of them, there was no fuel smell in the exhaust, and it wasn't blowing soot anymore. The oxygen sensor also tested good after the replacement. There is still an oil puff on startup and sometimes under hard acceleration, but I'll just have to see if the additive helps with the oil consumption.

Odd thing is that over the week or so when it was running real rich I hadn't noticed any increase in the fuel usage.
