[V8] Okay..so here is what is sure to be a "stupid" question

Yes and yes.  You use a small flat-bladed screwdriver to pop the lens  
assembly from outside (forget if it's the front or back).  The  
fixture will come out as well, as it's attached to the lens with a  
rubber..uh..open condom that you peel back to reveal Mr Happy -- I  
mean bulb. Your bulb is burned-out?  Those things seem to last  
forever.  Anyhow, replace bulb and test with the connector and bulb  
outside of fender before reattaching the lens and condom and popping  
the assembly back in.  If you are replacing the lenses with  
aftermarket ones, be careful.  Some use a more brittle plastic that  
can be most unforgiving and will crack/break when installing.
