or, another thing i have seen is one of the brake pistons seize in, toward
the caliper.  The, the pad "skips" across the rotor when gravity sends it
that direction.  check the pads to see if they have "normal" drag on the
rotors when the brakes are not applied.  if there is way to much airspace
between a pad and rotor, swap out the caliper.
