Another interesting spin on my weird torque converter. Previous tales have been posted under my work email. It's about 20 degrees and the first 6 mile of the drive are perfectly normal. I come to the first stop sign on my trip and then the balky TQ starts sme as always. After about 10 or 12 miles at 60 MPH the car's obviously all warmed up and just as I'm pulling into the dump the tranny dives into limp mode. It will do this once in a great while when the TQ is being balky. Turn the car off for about 90 seconds and when I start it up everything is fine. No strange codes have been stored. At this point because the temperature and everything else was the same a minute later when the tranny was perfect I think I need to swap in a different TCU or also an ECU. What does the collective Audi brain trust think so far ??? Thanks, William
