[V8] oil pressure sender

o.k., under the motor, next to the oil filter is a 2 wire sending unit, when I pull one wire off, the oil pressure GAUGE, tops out on the high end.  I would like to replace the sending unit, but all the parts stores are only showing a single wire unit.  Can anyone clue me in here on what is going on, or what I need?
