I had mine done at a hose shop here in Coeur d'Alene (only because it's
closer to me than House of Hose). The shop converted the fittings (by welding the
Audi fittings to standard replaceable hose connectors) for a total of $40-$50
as I recall. Next time I'll be able to change the hose portion myself in a
matter of minutes for under $10. That's a pretty slick deal, eh? The only
"funny" thing to be aware of as you are cutting away the rubber hose and the
old crimp is that there's a perforated plastic tube inside the rubber hose.
It's crimped to the pump-end of the program. It functions as a muffler against
power steering pump "moan". (Heard a Ford lately?) I don't recall using any
special tools to get the hose out.

I seem to have sprung the infamous leaking hydralic hose on the power
steering pump. Based on your collective wisdom, are you just having all redone or
just the high pressure hose? I am intending on sending it to Spokane House of
Hose for the work unless someone has a better option?
