[V8] mixture adaptation/idle issue

This is especially interesting to me -- I had this code and swapping a
MAF resulted in improved drivability and a different code (bad OXS).
Runs great w/ OXS unplugged; runs horribly with it plugged in. Replaced
the thing 2x. Anyway...
Per SJM Autotechnik (and the manual), your code indicates:
- Too Lean or Too Rich
- Vacuum or hose leak(s)
- Fuel Pressure problem
Do you get any smoke out the tailpipes when starting, especially when
cold? If so, how long does it remain?
How does it drive? Any sputtering or hesitation? I'm not referring to
the ubiquitous "surge" characteristic -- rather a fuel starvation or
over-ignition sensation.
And have you looked at any of the PCV hoses? Somewhere there's a
diagram of their location I can dig up if this isn't ringing a bell for
you.
