[V8] Oil cooler hoses

Getting ready to change the weepy oil cooler lines on my 90 V8Q . . .
Removing them from the engine end isn't a problem - I do however
anticipate a problem removing them from the oil cooler. How stuck are
they likely to be? My feeling is I ought to remove the oil cooler with
the hoses still attached, and work them off with the cooler safely
braced on the bench - any comments or BTDTs on this?
Also, I'd like to borrow a set of USED hoses - I want to take them over
to Aeroquip and get new ones made with the correct fittings and length.
I am not anxious to cure Audi's deficit by buying two new hoses from the
dealer, and even though I have been offered a set of used hoses (on a
cooler) at a decent price, the hoses are used - just like mine - and I'd
like to fix this ONCE.
Anyone got a set of used, leak, weepy oil cooler hoses I can use for a
pattern? I'll pay UPS both ways, and I'll happily post the part numbers,
sizes, sources and cost for the locally fabricated replacements to the
KB and here on the newsletter.
Best Regards,
