Do not attempt to test how long your front brakes will last.  Because when they go, they go.  Snap, crackle, pop, look ma - no brakes.  That was my ride today....
   
  On a brighter note, I managed to make it from Wellfleet Mass (think the farthest you can go east south of Maine) to Providence RI (~120 miles) with no brakes, and not hit anything.
