[V8] Brake Hose does it matter??

Same thing happened to me the other night. Except it was the rear hose that
burst. Not like two techs I had work on the car didn't warn me! It was the
outer sheath that was split a couple of years ago, but when that happens
they start to rot.

Pulled the hoses today. One was impossibly seized, but lucky it is the short
steel line that I will have to replace. The long line, the hose came off
after I used my mini-torch.

The rear hoses are $18 each (Cdn) but the fronts are much more expensive for
the '93 at least.

Subject: [V8] Brake Hose does it matter??

While crusing along the highways this afternoon I went to hit the brakes and
it just went straight to the floor. Luckily I was slowing down to go onto
the exit ramp. After stopping I went and checked the car to find a puddle
of brake fluid under the right front. The brake hose has blown.

Is the same hose used for the UFO and G60 brake system? Also can a 1991
Audi 200 be used or can any other Audi front hose be used?

Thanks
Bob
