[V8] Re; rear diff lock?

While it didn't make sense to me initially, seems Ed hit it on the head.
Car does not "lock the diffs"  (when turning very tightly in reverse, locks
the back,) do this when ABS off.  Actually did it with the front axle
yesterday. While I will check the sensors, is there a preferred way to make
sure/clean the Axle mounted reference points?

 Hope all is well up there in Maine.

 Have experienced the same condition
 in my V8Q under the same conditions.
 In my case - it was not often fortunately.
 So I had not bothered - to chase the source.

 However in recalling other posts about 'similar'
 issues - most felt the most likely cause would
 be faulty ABS signals @ the wheel sensors.

 Remedied by cleaning and readjusting during installation
 Hopefully (cleaned rather than replaced) at Audi prices.

 Just occurred to me - You might try shutting off the ABS
 System on the Dash and see if it makes a difference ??
