[V8] momo steering wheel question

I don't think it can be ordered here, but you never know. I put one in my
200 wagon when I swapped out the steering column covers so I could use the
AQudi sport wheel. These are basically hollow compared to US ones, I have
to assume it is a crash test issue. (though I'm guessing cars crash pretty
hard on the AutoBahn) The retro fit involves removal of the old piece as
well as a fairly sturdy metal strut that runs from the lower metal dash
support to the knee bolster (above your go pedal foot). Most of the mounts
are the same, you will need one extra anchor point below the ignition
switch to complete the install, then it looks factory. Picture link
attached.

Anyone know if that knee panel with the stowage space seen on the left
side of the steering wheel on these euro cars (ala Audi 4000) is a part
that can be ordered here in the US? Is there some reason it isn't used
here (or is it)?
