[V8] Speaking of battery charging...

I swear these cars read this list...

Can anyone enlighten me on how to identify which alternator I have on my
car?  My local repair shop shows two versions:  a 110-amp and a
"something else".

My battery warning display and ABS light came on simultaneously
yesterday; I was 30 miles from home and made it as far as possible, but
in the end I had a buddy run me up a battery and jumper cables for a
quick get-me-home fix.   New alternator is showing up as big $dukkets,
so I'm looking at a new voltage regulator and brushes for this one.

Any help would be appreciated!
